What is your first inclination when you are put into an untenable situation? Do you bless or curse? Do you praise or complain? Do you trust or fret? Paul and Silas had every reason to rise up and complain when they were thrown into a Roman prison after being flogged. They were Roman citizens, and this treatment was against the law. Instead, they chose to PRAISE the God who had bigger plans! Because of their choice to rejoice, God was glorified and many would be saved because of it in the future.
